Hello and welcome! Nice to see you!
This site is about all the things I love and experiences that I have had – a little bit of everything:
Where to go. What to cook. Where to eat. What to drink. What craft projects to create.
I have many passions – travel, cooking, entertaining, and creative projects.
I am fortunate to be able to spend a lot of time in Italy and Europe and I am often asked by friends and family what they should do or see on their trip.
I’m a huge fan of “cook once and eat twice”.
I knit years ago and recently started knitting again, which caused me to realized how much I missed the art of creating.
I like to share travel tips and other great ideas that will save you time and money and will help you find a special memory on your own trip.
I hope you use this site to help plan your next trip, plan your next meal, or plan your next project.
Thanks for coming to visit, and I hope to see you again soon!

So you (hopefully) read Monday’s post called Chartreuse with Envy and have gone out and acquired a bottle (or two) of Chartreuse! Congrats! Cheers! Now the age-old question, what do I do with this? A popular favourite of cocktailers is The Last Word. If you were on Instagram in April this year, you probably saw… Continue reading Cheers for Chartreuse!
Did you know that tomorrow is World Chartreuse Day? I’m not making this up. May 16th is considered World Chartreuse Day. Now before everyone gets too excited, you will still have to go to work! It is not a “get the day off work” holiday. Chartreuse is a French liqueur made by Carthusian monks since 1737 using instructions… Continue reading Chartreuse with Envy
Most of you know that I’m not a baker. I’m not sure whether it’s because I don’t have a sweet tooth or if it’s the exactness of baking that doesn’t appeal to me. Don’t get me wrong, when I see a gorgeous cake, cupcakes or other assorted baked goods, I usually think “ooooh!!!”, but then I… Continue reading Fugly Chocolate Chip Cookies

I love springtime in Italy! Everything is so beautiful and green. I love to get my planting done so that we’ll have beautiful flowers and vegetables in the summer. (After all, there is nothing better than fresh off-the-vine tomatoes!) While the flowers may be in bloom, the vegetable garden is not quite ready for prime time!… Continue reading Italian Spring Salad
