Simple Pulled Pork

Autumn and slow cooking! The two seem to go hand in hand. Pulled pork is a comfort food. While I love to make it when the leaves turn and fall off the trees, it is not exclusively a fall food. This extremely simple recipe is great to make all year round. This “Dinner While You Work” recipe will have you looking like a comfort food superstar!

This is one of the easiest recipes you will ever make. Think of it as the gateway recipe to using your slow cooker! It is so simple to make and prep is less than 5 minutes. You can change the flavours of this recipe up by simply changing barbecue sauces. Feel like something sweet and smokey or maybe  something hickory based? You can do that. Want to make your own barbecue sauce and use that? Not a problem.

I make My Southern Spice Mix in larger quantities so I have it on hand. This pulled pork can be made to feed larger get-togethers or family dinners! Best thing is that it usually makes leftovers!

Prep time: 5 minutes; Cook time: 6+ hours; Serves: 4 – 8 people
